My first workout post-babe is COMPLETE!
Planking for abs ... hopefully ;)
I wanted to allow my body to recover from the pregnancy and delivery and not to feel pressured to get back to the gym right away. I attended some hot yoga classes of the last couple of weeks which I think was a great way to ease my way back into some movement. but last friday I had the urge and excitement to get back to the gym.
10 weeks old today!
Lets be serious - I took it easy. but 30 minutes of cardio (bike and elliptical) followed by a full body workout using mostly my own body weight, some abs and stretching felt amazing! Thankfully I have lots of wonderful family around to look after little miss S so that the hubs and I were able to get to the gym together.
Walking out of the gym I felt like a "normal" person again. I am sure that any mom's out there will understand what I am saying. When your whole world has been consumed with feeding, changing diapers, house work, etc (which I LOVE - don't get me wrong)...taking a couple hours to do something for me, that I love, feels unbelievably special!
