friday randoms: a few of my favourite things

We made it to Friday my friend!

The sun is shining and my week has been full but fabulous!

I hope you are able to carve in a little me time this weekend. My self-care will come in the form of a hot yoga class tomorrow AM with one of my besties. I had my first class back in {gasp....} almost 2 years last weekend, and truthfully I felt amazing. I took it easy and could not believe how much taller and less achy {my babes are getting heavy...} my body felt!

Ommmm-azing!

Today I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite things.

Ummm, hi. These faces make waking up a lot more fun. One of my new commitments to me and them, is that I don't turn my phone on until we are done breakfast and settled into our morning routine. Except to take this pic....  :)

I noticed how distracted I was becoming. They need my attention, we need family time and I revel in those early morning hours together knowing that one day soon it will be more of a rat-race to get out the door.

Some of my new-ish go-to Young Living essential oils! Essential beauty serum added to my moisturizer, Progessence Photo Plus for hormone health + Dragon Time for that-time-of-the-month symptoms.

Quick meals have been a must lately. I am working a lot more now. YEAH! The Thriving Mom Project is underway.... so I have had less time to spend in my kitchen. Last night we went antipasti and it was a hit! Who doesn't love finger foods? Carrots, celery, cucumber, bell pepper, flax crackers, goats cheddar, olives and hummus. My breakfast go-to's have been overnight oats, various forms of chia pudding and eggs in all different ways!

Each spring when we move back to Canada I fall in love with my VitaMix all over again. Our family doesn't have as many smoothies in the winter months but with Spring here I am becoming a bit of a mad scientist in the kitchen again with my fav kitchen gadget. This is fast food at it's finest. This cup was filled with coconut milk, chia seeds, hemp seeds, shredded coconut, banana, frozen blueberries and cinnamon.

And last but not least, tonight is DATE NIGHT in our house. It has been a busy month with our move home and settling it. I am so looking forward to some alone time with my man!

HAPPY FRIDAY to you + have an incredible weekend!
