green smoothie

Here is a smoothie idea that you are sure to love. it incorporates the ever gorgeous avocado.

I get anxious when I run out of avocado's in the house (I'm not sure this is normal....) but you have 'the healthy ginger' guarantee that this green smoothie goodness will make your body smile from the inside out.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 OR 1 whole avocado (I used the whole thing + left a little extra for a face mask. mash + cover your face, let sit for 10-15 minutes. rinse + moisturize)
  • 1/2 apple (preferably organic)
  • 1/2 banana (ripe or frozen)
  • 3 medjool dates (pitted)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1.5 cups almond milk or water
  • Optional: 1 scoop vega smoothie optimizer

Method:

  1. Peel and pit the avocado.
  2. Pit your dates.
  3. Add the avocado, apple, banana, dates, cinnamon, almond milk and protein powder (optional).
  4. Blend for 1-2 minutes until silky smooth + serve.
